As founder and medical director of Lawley Pharmaceuticals I welcome you to the Lawley Pharmaceuticals website.
Established in 1996 as an offshoot from a retail pharmacy Lawley Pharmaceuticals has developed into a well respected, progressive and innovative pharmaceutical company.
We have established strong links with established medical research facilities both in Australia and internationally. We continue to liaise with world class clinical researchers who have conducted high class studies with our products.
We work in collaboration with our manufacturing partners Orion Laboratories whose world class manufacturing facility in Balcatta, Western Australia is equipped with state-of-the-art comprehensive manufacturing equipment and utilities. The facility was TGA approved in January 2004 and fully commissioned in August 2004.
Operating to the strictest international codes of Good Manufacturing Practice and with expanded capacity, our products are manufactured, packaged and supplied in a variety of forms and pack sizes, or supplied in bulk packs as required.
Transdermal application continues to provide the most reliable and least invasive form of pharmaceutical delivery in humans. Lawley Pharmaceuticals commitment to the use of natural or bio-identical hormones expands the opportunities of choice for patients and prescribers.
Whereas the major pharmaceutical companies of the world are focused on the new block buster drugs to address worldwide epidemics such as obesity and cardiovascular diseases, Lawley Pharmaceuticals believes addressing the underlying cause of the disease rather than the treatment of symptoms will achieve a lasting solution to most medical conditions. If the root cause is established and adequately addressed the symptoms will, in most cases, resolve themselves and the net effect will be a satisfied patient. When it comes to endocrinology, gynaecology and andrology many pharmaceuticals are either synthetic analogues of naturally occurring hormones or dose forms that are unpleasant in their mode of administration and/or side effects. Lawley Pharmaceuticals development of topical creams with their associated ease of application represents a new frontier of pharmaceutical development.
Our clinical research program focuses on new areas of treatment for which there has been little or no pharmaceutical investigation. Conditions such as post natal depression, endometriosis, female sexual dysfunction (FSD), androgen deficiency in the ageing male (ADAM) and poly cystic ovarian syndrome underlying etiologies are associated with states of hormonal imbalance. The future of mainstream medicine adequately managing these conditions lies not with the development of pharmaceutical preparations because they already exist, but rather with undertaking the necessary research to satisfy the charter of "evidence based medicine".
Over the past ten years Lawley Pharmaceuticals, through its products AndroFeme®, AndroForte®, ProFeme® and Natragen®, has made an extremely positive impact on the lives of a great many patients.
